"I've watched Ben Harper for many years, being a fan of his show as I still find it hilarious. Even my young children adore him for his appearances in numerous kids movies. I must admit, I was somewhat let down to see him live. It seemed like his manager had arranged that performance and he was just fulfilling his contract. He didn't appear thrilled to be there in Mississippi. There were hecklers (naturally, that could anger anyone) who had to be escorted out of the theater, and we could feel the tension escalating as his jokes became increasingly offensive. Yes, he's renowned for being politically incorrect, and that's one of his standout qualities, in my opinion. Nonetheless, I believe he crossed a fine line into disrespect.
I chuckled, mostly at the silly guy who performed before him. I can't recall his name, but he was a blast to watch. I would definitely attend another show of his, but not another one of Ben Harper."
